Love is in the Air-Part II

Hello Friends!

I had another go at the challenge from A Passion for Papertrey since I was not totally pleased with the first card I submitted.  I was trying to convince myself that it was fine, just fine...but I decided the Love of My Life deserved my best efforts, not a card that I kinda thought was ok, maybe.  So here it is:

The part of the other card that was important to me is the sentiment.  So I put it on the inside.  I'm much happier with this.

When the Love and Marriage stamp set (on the card front) came out about a year ago, I did not get to use it as much as I wanted to.  You know how it goes, another release, another shipment and I was distracted beyond return.  Until I received Sending My Love.  My favorite sentiment in this stamp set is the one above and I immediately thought of the block of text with the names of famous couples we all know.  The two stamps seemed made for each other.  How romantic, right?

It's true.  Our love story really is my favorite!

Thanks for taking another look.

  3. I just love both of your 'love' cards. That tree is so elegant looking, and I love how you colored the leaves. You are braver than I was--I loved the pleats, but was too intimidated to try.

  8. Well, I love this one, too! I love the white and brown with the green leaves - such a lovely 'pop' of peacefulness. ;-) I love how you stamped the background text, and also the sentiment on the inside. I liked the first card, but I really like this one, too! Great job on them both. ;-)

  10. Hi Suzanne. It's been a while since I could wonder to my favorite places on the web. Wow! How I have missed seeing the gorgeous things you make using Papertrey products. (Still think you should be on their design team.)

It's always the unexpected details that blow me away - like the white tree trunk. I'd never think to leave it that way, and it is one of the reasons this card is so incredibly stunning.

Hope all is going swimmingly in your world, and again, thanks for taking the time to share all your creations. I would leave a comment on all your posts, but time doesn't allow. What incredible gifts you have.
