A Passion for Papertrey Challenge: Negative Die Cut

Hi Friends!

Here I am just under the wire AGAIN!  I  have been busy lately with making Clever Barrette Covers, and Boutique Accessory Cards for my retail outlet, but decided I wanted to participate in this challenge with the "new baby" card I made for a friend.

The inside was fun to make also:

After die cutting the three strollers, I used temporary adhesive to place the white 3.75" X 5.0" piece to the patterned paper.  This made a mask to stamp the strollers with VersaMark ink onto the patterned paper.  I removed the white die cut piece and heat embossed the stamped images with white embossing powder.  I then die cut another stroller on the patterned paper for the inside of the card and repeated the heat embossing process.  I added shading to all of the strollers using a couple of Copic Markers.  The babies are stamped with True Black Ink in order to tolerate the touches of Copic marker to color the cheeks.  The sentiment banner is hand cut to 5/8" X 4.25" to cover the original stamping directly to the card front.  (It was stamped in black and looked really bad!)  I tried to cover it with one of my new Bountiful Banner dies, but they were not quite wide enough to cover the booboo.  When it was all said and done, I think my favorite part of the card is the two little faces peeking out of the stroller on the inside of the card!

So that's it for me today.  If you haven't visited A Passion For Papertrey, check it out.  It's a relatively small group of talented designers who share a love for all things Papertrey!

Thanks for stopping by,
Suzanne
