A Passion for Papertrey Challenge-Thank You

Hello to all friends of Papertrey Ink around the world!

I am delighted to have the opportunity to join you in a frolic through our Papertrey Ink goodies together and be inspired by each other. I have long been an admirer of Aimes and look forward to getting to know Caryn and Kate through challenges to come this year.

If you are new like me and would like to learn more about this site, CLICK HERE.

I have two submissions for this challenge so here they are.

This one was also submitted for the Make It Monday #99 Repeats and Rainbows challenge from Nichole Heady.

I have added a wonky view of this card so that you can better appreciate the background.  I can only say that my photography skills are improving...

This has become my new favorite impression plate.  I love the simple texture of the vertical stripes.  The reverse side gives the impression of "board and batten", I always think of wainscoting when I use it.  Strangely, when I attempted to confirm the name of the impression plate via the Papertrey Ink web site, I could not find it among the other impression plates.  But it really is there...somewhere.  Let's call it "Stripes".

Supplies:
Card #1-

Card #2-

Once again, I appreciate the opportunity to join a new community of fellow paper crafters.  Looking forward to hearing from you and seeing all of your projects!

Thanks for stopping by,
Suzanne

  1. Your second card--WOW!! I passed on that stamp set, and am now wondering why I did it. I love your striped, impressed background, and your beautiful focal point. I see that you were able to master the linking dilemma. I believe that impression plate is called Striped Impression Plate, and PTI has stopped selling them, because they said too many people were having troubles with it and the manuf couldn't resolve the issue. I'm so glad I already own one.

  2. Suzanne,
Firstly thank you for your lovely comments on my blog. Thought I would come and check your blog out and I am so glad I did-had to join and sign up for posts! I love your creations and these 2 cards are no exception. I completely adore that second impression plate and the repeated hearts in all the colours in the first card look great! Looking forward to seeing more!

  5. Both of your cards are fabulous, you first one is so sweet with the hearts into a flower, so clever and beautiful. Your second card is just adorable with those flowers.

  6. So pretty! I'm dying over that second one. Everything is so perfectly balanced. And I have that impression plate but I haven't used it yet! Yikes! I might have to pull it out now that I've seen what you did with it!
