Hello! I've missed you! Not only am I glad to be back to blogging, TODAY IS MY FIRST ANNIVERSARY!!!! One year ago today, I posted for the first time with an entry to the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop. I have learned so much over the past year from all of you. So much inspiration, so much encouragement to keep trying new techniques, colors and styles. Many of my smiles have truly started with reading the kind comments you have left for me, so today's card is just for you! Thanks for sharing the celebration with me.
Are you wondering if I am offering a little anniversary gift? Why yes, I am! A $25.00 Gift Certificate from Papertrey Ink will be given to the lucky duck whose name I randomly select from the comments on today's post. I will announce the winner on Thursday, June 28 by noon, CST.
Here's the Inspiration Photo:
Today's inspiration photo immediately took me to the newly released Natural Beauty stamp set. What a fantastic stamp set! The options seem limitless and the images are gorgeous. (Thanks Nichole!) Since I'm not a big fan of lace and ruffles and such, My focus was on building a beautiful floral background similar to the largest pillow, and the puffy yellow pillow in front. Both the background mat and the sentiment frame are popped up on foam adhesive. The yellow circles are coated with fine crystal glitter. I adore these colors!
Here's my card:
Thanks for all the smiles! Leave a comment, 'cause I want YOU to get the gift certificate!
Thanks for stopping by,
Suzanne

ReplyDeleteSuzanne,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the first anniversary of your blog. Life piled on a bunch of lemons that I have tried to make lemonade out of, and I can hardly believe that it has been a year since you first told me of your new adventure. I remember the morning well! I am so proud of you, and I know you will continue to inspire us all. That's just who you are!
Many Blessings, Darby
WOW, Suzanne, this is simply beautiful! You've stamped such a gorgeous background. Love all the details. Congratulations, on your one year blog anniversary.
ReplyDeleteThe thumbnails never seem to do justice to the cards, but I find I always select yours to view. This one stood out loud and strong among the small images, and the full view does not disappoint. The way the eye moves back and forth between the green 'daisies' and the large pale flowers is amazing! You really honored the feel of the inspiration photo and I learn so much with every card you post. (Still want you to be teaching in a bigger venue. Your skills are amazing, as well as your ability to explain your thinking and technique! I vote you for President.)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your one year anniversary. I must post again soon so that I have a few more entries before my one year (if I remember when it happens). So glad you're posting again. Many PTIers seemed to have disappeared for a time this spring, and are reemerging now.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove that background...
and the sentiment is so perfect for this!
Just gorgeous!
Congrats on one year too! :)
And I thought about you last week as I was driving through Franklin...
as much as I may detest all the traffic and congestion...
Cool Springs has an Archiver's so I HAVE to go over! ;)
HAPPY BLOGAVERSARY!!! Loving the new look and the card is fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy one year anniversary ~ paper is the traditional way to celebrate a one year anniversary ;). I LOVE the combination of fancy flourishes and natural beauties (both on my wish list). Absolutely great take on the inspiration!
