February 2013 Blog Hop-Papertrey Ink

Hello Friends!

So glad I get to play along this month-it's been way too long!  I'll keep it short as there are LOTS of amazing projects in this Marvelous Monograms Challenge.

The first project today is a gift set I made for a friend at Christmas.  Meagan is a very trendy thirty-something, so I think this set of personalized notes suits her well.  Each card has a different color for the initials so that she can choose the one that suits her mood.

It's very hard to see the herringbone pattern on the card base, but it really is there and adds just the right amount of texture to the crisp white background.  The rectangular die and the letter dies were run through my Big Shot at the same time.  I cut a scrap of colored card stock to back each rectangle, and adhered the pieces together before mounting onto the card base with dimensional foam adhesive.

I packaged the set with it's envelopes and this card showing through the clear acetate box.  I love the pen and ink blotch/exclamation point!  I need to find a few other ways to use those two stamps.

So that's it for my first entry.  Yes, I have another post coming up soon.  Hopefully my second idea translates to paper!?!

Thanks for stopping by,
Suzanne
